ABOUT SCBS

— SOCIETY FOR CELL BIOLOGY SINGAPORE

The Society for Cell Biology Singapore (SCBS) was founded in 2022: “To promote the status and advance the interests of cell biology and its applications”.

SCBS encourages the improvement of education in cell biology and the training of those interested in cell biology. The Society also provides opportunities for interaction and dissemination of knowledge among members. To this end, SCBS will organize and support meetings and publications relating to cell biology.

The Society aims to bring together the diverse range of cell biology education and research throughout Singapore. At the academic level, Singaporean universities and polytechnics train future biologists and carry out fundamental basic research. This is complemented by a vibrant biomedical and biotechnology R&D ecosystem comprising new start-ups and established pharmaceutical companies.

SCBS is a registered society (T22SS0037L).
